Resumen

Los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio (ODM), aprobados por todos los países miembros de Naciones Unidas, fijan metas cuantificables y con plazos específicos para abatir la pobreza en sus múltiples dimensiones. Este artículo examina la evolución de África subsahariana en términos de esos objetivos y analiza las circunstancias que hacen más difícil su cumplimiento en esta región que en otras regiones en desarrollo.
