Resumen

Se analizan algunos problemas historiográficos relacionados con las nociones de Sāṅkhya y de yoga entendidas como darśanas o sistemas filosóficos. Primero se discute la noción de lo “clásico” en relación con estas vertientes del pensamiento indio, luego se examinan las propuestas de los especialistas acerca de la gestación y relación mutua de las dos corrientes. Posteriormente se analiza la Kaṭha Upaniṣad, un texto que evidencia una etapa temprana en el desarrollo del Sāṅkhya y del yoga. Por último, se contrasta el examen del tratado upanishádico con los problemas historiográficos analizados antes.
